We are seeking an experienced, responsible, and results-oriented Petrol Station Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our filling station. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient station operations, excellent customer service, accurate financial and stock management, staff supervision, and strict compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Station Operations Manage the daily operations of the filling station and ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. Supervise pump attendants, cashiers, and other station personnel. Ensure pumps, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and operational. Monitor opening, closing, and shift procedures. Sales, Stock & Financial Management Monitor fuel sales, stock levels, deliveries, and daily reconciliation. Maintain accurate records of fuel received, dispensed, and remaining in stock. Monitor cash collections and ensure proper reconciliation and accountability. Identify and minimize fuel losses, wastage, shortages, and operational leakages. Drive sales performance and identify opportunities to increase station revenue. Customer Service Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and professional service. Handle customer complaints and resolve operational issues effectively. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer experience. Health, Safety & Compliance Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental procedures across the station. Ensure proper handling and storage of petroleum products and adherence to applicable regulations. Conduct routine safety checks and ensure emergency equipment is available and functional. Report and respond appropriately to spills, incidents, fires, and other emergencies. Staff Management Schedule shifts, assign duties, and monitor staff performance and attendance. Train and motivate employees to maintain high standards of service, safety, and accountability. Address disciplinary and performance issues in line with company policies. Academic & Professional Requirements Bachelor’s degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in petrol station management, retail operations, fuel distribution, or a similar supervisory role. Proven experience in fuel stock control, cash reconciliation, staff supervision, and retail operations. Good knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and petroleum industry requirements. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and numerical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic reporting/record-keeping systems. Ability to work shifts, manage pressure, and respond effectively to operational challenges. HSE certification or relevant petroleum-industry training is an added advantage. The station is located in an area with heightened safety and security considerations. The successful candidate must be physically fit, able to demonstrate a strong sense of situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and responsive during security or emergency situations.
